When talking about his great knocks in the 2002/03 Ashes down undee and others at home, there is a very important one that many people overlook. To me, Vaughan's greatest knock was his 105 in the 2nd innings in Kandy, 2003. A real turner against Murali at his best. It was a match-saving knock and no other English batsman had made a 50 in that innings. England drew with 285/7. I thought for a couple of years, Michael Vaughan (alongwith Rahul Dravid) was perhaps the best batsman in the world.
